Privacy Policy

StarSidewalk (“the app”) is operated by P&L Marketing Solutions LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app accesses and how that information is used. The app has no accounts and no login — your saved stars, passport, and reports stay on your device.
What the app accesses
Location. With your permission, your location is used to rank stars and nearby businesses by distance and to power walking directions. Location is processed on your device and is not stored or sent to us — except when you choose to attach it to an issue report (below).
Camera & photos. Only used if you tap “Take a photo” while filing a report. The photo is attached to an email that you send from your device; we don’t access your photo library otherwise.
Issue reports. When you submit a report, the details you enter (and any photo or location you choose to attach) are sent to us by email, from your device’s mail app, at your request, to pablo@plmks.com. We use them only to keep the Walk of Fame data accurate. A copy is saved on your device under “My reports.”
Wikipedia content. When you open a star, the app requests that person’s public photo and bio from Wikipedia (Wikimedia Foundation), a standard web request governed by Wikimedia’s privacy policy.
Advertising (AdMob). The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data to deliver and measure ads. We request non-personalized ads where possible. See Google’s policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Buying “Remove ads” stops ads from showing.
Sponsor metrics. When a sponsored local business is shown to you or you tap it, the app sends an anonymous count (“+1 view” / “+1 tap”) to our server so we can report results to advertisers. It’s a plain tally — no name, no account, no device identifier, nothing that identifies you.
Purchases. “Remove ads” is processed by Apple/Google. We never see your payment details; the app only stores a flag that you’ve purchased it.
What we do NOT do
- No user accounts, sign-in, or profiles.
- No selling of personal data.
- No analytics SDKs beyond what AdMob uses to serve ads.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Your choices
- Deny or revoke location/camera permission in your device Settings at any time.
- Delete your on-device data by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling.
- Buy “Remove ads” to stop ad serving.
